Soundbites PBC has been operating since late 2019. We’ve shipped thousands of orders and our returning customer rate exceeds 60%. We know our customers and the market we are creating. We are the first and only biomedical company in the market with a safe biomedicine regulated as a supplement, clinically proven to preserve or improve hearing for 75.3% of those who take it daily for six months.

Our five-person team has invested about $800,000 getting the company to this point, leveraging three decades of U.S. and EU medical innovation R&D grants from 1987 to 2017 totalling about $30 million. The technology is covered by nine issued patents held by the University of Michigan, licensed exclusively to us. A tenth patent is in prosecution. Patent #11 is possible with additional funding.

We are using the Otology Intervention with Soundbites (ACEMg) Study, the OTIS public health study, to raise awareness and facilitate domestic and international adoption by consumers and frontline providers.

Hearing loss is the second most common chronic health disability on the planet, affecting about 1.5 billion people with more than another 1 billion at early risk. Importantly, there is scientific agreement that hearing loss is the biggest risk factor for dementia. There are no cures for hearing loss or dementia. Prevention is the best strategy.

Insufficient capital is the largest risk facing early stage companies like ours that have attained a toehold in new markets and are ready to grow. We are looking for investment partners, offering up to $10 million in growth equity under Regulation 506(c), which allows us to publicize the investment to accredited investors.
