Soundbites is a for-profit public benefit company – a ‘B-Corp’ – on a mission to stop hearing loss from getting worse. Our impact mission to measurably reduce the social and economic burdens associated with hearing impairment through education, research and equal access programs is baked into our corporate charter.
About Soundbites PBC
Soundbites PBC holds the exclusive University of Michigan license to the ACEMg patents, generates profitable revenue by selling ACEMg under the Soundbites brand, and donates 6% of revenue to the Keep Hearing advocacy nonprofit.
Keep Hearing advocacy nonprofit
The Keep Hearing nonprofit operates Soundbites PBC impact programs for education, research and equal access. It also cooperates with other nonprofits to accelerate the goal of measurably reducing the social burdens and economic burdens associated with hearing impairment. Additionally, it certifies providers who wish to become hearing preservation specialists, and conducts the Healthy Hearing, Healthy Aging (H3A) Real World Study.
The Soundbites PBC impact mission supports the 2017 World Health Assembly Resolution on Hearing Loss in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development 2030 Agenda, specifically Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages, and Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
